I know there are a lot of simple intake upgrade posts, but I wanted to share my personal experience and add pictures. Start to finish was about 15 minutes of work, and I'm an amateur tinkerer, not a guy who has much car mechanical skill.
Parts:
Intake tube AL3Z-9F721-A (AL3Z9F721A) - $5.93 on eBay
Spectre washable oil air filter HPR 10262 - $26.94 on Amazon (free for me though, since I got a free Amazon gift card at work)
Tools:
Flat head screwdriver
13mm socket and wrench
As you can see, it's cheap, easy, and doesn't require any tools most people don't already have. I'm guessing from the side by side comparison, the new tube is about twice the size of the stock tube. I just finished up, so I'll post my driving experience later. I don't expect much until later tuning and upgrades, but at least I know the engine will be breathing better now. And for less than six bucks out of pocket, I'm sure I'll have no complaints!
