interior led lights

i want to change ALL my interior lights to blue leds but i just want to pop in a new bulb without having to cut or splice the wiring and all that. any one have any ideas where i can get blue leds for the interior?

Measure the length of the festoon lamps found in the ceilihng by the rear doors and the hatch first.
The rest are just 194 style plug ins.

i tried getting my purchase history from ebay...couldnt go back that far...t194 for the map lights...license plate and coutesy lights...i think it was 33mm for the visors...35mm or 39mm for the second row and same for the rear...festoon for visor/2nd/rear lights

thanks guys.....wait is t194 and 194 the same thing? if thats all i needed for the dome lights Im about to scream. i went looking at several different auto parts and found those everywhere.

sweet. now i dont have to guess one what leds for my lights now. haha what about the running boards?

yea 194 did not work in my map lighs so i bought the led strip lights and hardwired it into the sockets. now I think I need the 578 led bulb for the one all the way in back and the two in the center section

Im looking at the 578 leds from the v leds site. Are these the ones all you guys used for the center row and cargo area? There 14.99 each and I need three so I want to be sure im ordering the right part.

i dont have lights in my boards...the 194 is map/courtesy lights/tail lights only...the visor is different

I will definitely be using superbrightleds.com again. the lights came in yesterday and the interior looks so damn good now with all the blue leds. next will be amber turn signals

I'm bringing this back because its the only thread I found where someone actually converted a 1st gen map light to led. I bought 194's and then realized it's the weird contacts on the copper rings bulb instead of just a normal bulb socket

Big red monster- would you have any pics of the lights you wired in and/or how you wired them?

I got all my blue LED'S from e-bay at a much lower cost Even did the running board lights

I second ebay.....full convert, all interior (except cluster, swutched) as under $50 dollars including running board lamps. people think i'm afraid of the dark now

bcmaxx- you have a first gen and converted your map lights to led?

I don't have a problem finding the bulbs, they're just not the right ones for the weird design of the map lights.

MadMax I think ford used two different sockets for the map lights you could check in a junk yard for the plug in style or check on e-bay for the chevy style holder they will work I had two different 99's and they used different styles sockets
