Is there ANY way to have the giant screen mirror your iPhone exactly? Not with CarPlay but an exact screen mirror.

I’m constantly fighting with CarPlay and I am sick and tired of it shutting down while the vehicle is moving. It makes me just pick up my iPhone and use that - which is NOT safer. I wish they just had a warning about how the passenger has to use stuff while the vehicle is in motion and then move on with everything unlocked.

Has anyone figured out how to do this without ripping the whole car apart and re-programming it?

Huh, and you think the shutting down wouldn't happen like CarPlay is? It would require more resources to mirror. You need to figure out why your Carplay is shutting down. You have another issue. I can stay connected in my 21 150 and 25 Explorer ST for hours with no issues, both Wireless Carplay.

What Model Phone? What OS version? Any particular app cause it to "shut Down"? Please describe exactly what it is doing.

Have you unpaired your Phone and Car, and paired them again? Have you turned off wireless projection and tried wired CarPlay to see if it behaves differently.

Are you trying to do things on WiFi or connect to wireless networks/devices while connected to CarPlay?

I had an issue with Android Auto disconnecting. It turned out to be a bad cable.
With that said, there are 3rd party plug in devices, like the Car TV Mate Pro- HDMI Multimedia & Wireless CarPlay Adapter. It supports wireless apple car play and Android Auto. It allows mirroring phones, playing videos and supports the use of HDMI devices, like firestick and game consoles.

What exactly is it you're trying to do that CarPlay won't allow you?

It comes across like the real issue isn't disconnects, but that it won't let you do unsafe things like read your text messages or watch Reels on the big screen...

Reading text messages is part of Car Play and Android Auto.

Still new to my truck with sync4A, but seems to me I saw an option on mine that allows screen mirroring. I did’t try that out yet. Or did I read that in the manual? Can’t remember

I have the option of reading out loud or actual text, which is why I mentioned it.
Don't know about Android Auto, but CarPlay does not allow you to read text messages as actual text - only listen to them. Hell, half the time I ask dumbo Siri for something she tells me that's not allowed whilst driving.

I assumed they were similar. I stand corrected.

Note the car screens are not nearly as high resolution as the phone screens. My Pixel 9 Pro is 1280 x 2856, my wife's 8 Pro (larger screen) is 1344 x 2992. The 8" screen on my 2019 is something ugly like 800x480. Screen mirroring is a lot harder with different resolutions.

Screen Mirroring in FordSpeak is Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay. Turn it off and you are locked to wired for both.

Also, again, this OP has not been online here, since shortly after he posted. He has another issue, mirroring(3rd Party Adapter) vs CarPlay will not fix his issue.
