All right so my question is do I have everything I need to re-hook up my heater core it was bypassed before I got it

Did you replace the heater core ? It was probably bypassed because it was leaking coolant, and that ends up on the passenger floor. I would not reconnect it until you replace the core or test it to make sure it's not leaking.
