Hi guys,

I found a 2011 expedition XLT 4x2 for sale and was wondering if you think it is a good deal or not.

Its fully loaded: Navigation, heated mirrors, sunroof, power fold 3rd row, heated and cooled driver and passenger seats, reverse sensors, leather, power tailgate, dual zone climate control, rain sensing wipers etc...

However it has 98,000 miles and it had a indecent involving the front end which happened 20 days after the original owner bought it.

I've gone and looked at it and its in great condition and drives great also.
The price is $20,500 out the door. Including dealer fees, tax and tag.
Let me know what you think! Any known issues with the 3rd gen?

NADA retail is $22,875; clean trade-in is $19,525. Price seems pretty good, though I always suggest offering less or asking for more. There is always at least some room to negotiate. If it hasn't had the plugs replaced, perhaps ask them to do that. Tires? Have him throw in something.

3rd Gen is great. The crash damage is a concern. If fenders..no prob. Frame damage..scary. Find one with no wreck damage, man, unless you intend to go off road a lot. The mileage does not scare me at all if well maintained. 5.4 V8 is tough.
The list price is driven by your local inventory & demand. Cars.com works for me.

Not a bad price. As long as their was no structural damage during the collision.

Thanks for the replies guys. Going back tomorrow to see if i can get a deal on trading in my 2nd gen expedition. It has no structural damage according to the car fax. I too am not concerned about the miles. I'll see if i can get them to throw in a few extras. Of course I don't want to buy a car with a that states it got into a crash. But I cant find a similar car that's a 2011 close to that price.

No one wants to buy an accident vehicle, but if the price is right ... Does the CarFax state that it was towed? If not, then it was probably fairly minor. Or it means they hit it just right like my wife, who totaled her Mazda without so much as a nick in the frame or any drive component. :p If it states that it was towed, I'd personally pass on it.
