Just did an oil change on my Expy. Whose genius idea was it to put the filter above the front diff where it in almost inaccessible? Damn you Ford, what were u thinking?

mine is behind the front bumper..easiest filter change i've ever done lol sucks they changed it.

Do you leave the hose there and plug it off? Maybe a valve? Now I simply screw in a hose to the bottom of the oil pan and all the oil drains through the hose and right in to the 5 gallon gas can I have for my used motor oil. Makes oil changes so much easier.
Does anyone have a link to a decent relocation kit?

These fords need something like that since the drain plug is in a horrible place. My Explorer was the same way. Thanks.... will find something that will work.jrjr, the unit that I am using in place of my oil pan drain plug is a check valve with a cap on it (2 boundaries for the oil to get out). So, when you go to drain the oil, you remove the cap and then screw in this 12" piece of hose with an override tip to it. This override tip forces the check valve open, allowing the oil to drain out. They used to be really popular, but I haven't seen them in some time. It cost me like $15 at the time. It was money well spent for me.
