Good evening! My name is Aquila aka "Ms. Expedition". I know this is a 2 year old post but since then, the group page I volunteerly run you referring to called Ford Expedition Club currently has over 16,000 members there. It's a US based online truck club on Facebook (apart of a group page) for our Ford Expeditions, a place to exchange technical information and photos as well as meeting other expedition owners. It's been doing very well all this time. We are on instagram too (ford_expedition_club) with over approximately 2000 followers! This very forum has good information as well but the one I described above is for those who is on Facebook and Instagram. The things you said 2 years ago, you just didn't get a chance to know the whole system lol. Anyways hope you have a good one! I currently own a 2003 XLT 5.4. Feel free to join & check it out! ;)

Hey girl, welcome aboard! I couldn't believe I saw my 2 year old post this morning. Always good to have new members. I'll have to check out the face book page. Lots of talented guys, and some girls/women. We can always use a fresh perspective on these SUV's.

Good morning 1955moose! I appreciate the welcome! I just happen to do a key word search that lead me to your thread here and I rarely come to this forum. Just decided to stop by.

Yeah, its pretty much a men's club here. Once in a while we get a poster asking for advice, but not a regular contributor. We had one lady a few weeks back that could diagnose, and spin a wrench with the top guys here!

Yeah, it's definitely not a "club"- although they do have stickers!
I know this is a old thread but it's an online truck club I administrated in is apart of the facebook group page. That's the time people here didn't get to know the whole system. We still have stickers available whoever is on that group page and has helped plenty of expedition owners (Facebook users) with their tech questions regarding their expeditions. The "My" part came in when I was pretty much hosting the group page as in a "Mic announcement" like DJs do to live up the audience examples like "Hey yo yo what's up my peeps, my family etc.". Basically I guess 10kWatts didn't take it so well when he was there. I take criticism which doesn't bother me. I have reduced the "mic announcement" since then and just interacted with other users smoothly. Anyways that was 2 years ago. But now, everything's cool, still going strong, life goes on! I hope you have a wonderful day!

You guys should get the wives and girlfriends involved. I'm sure they tell you problems with the suvs all the time. Just a thought.

I can't even get my wife to check her own oil when we both fully know that there's an oil leak problem in HER car.

I always wondered where 10k went to. He was our go to person for anything Stereo, or alarm questions. Like friends, posters come and go around here. Like our late Bedrck 47 used to say, ****, their he goes!

After squeezing out 2 kids for us, I am not about to hassle my wife with the Expedition. I feel like I owe her that much.
My wife's incubating our 3rd. She wants another Subaru I told her she can have another Scuba or she can raise her 3 children with her loving husband not moving as far north as his legs would take him, alone and ready to start his new life in a one room shack eating raw caribou and potentially dangerous flora. That was a year ago...she never gave me an answer...how long can a subaru run being "maintained" by someone who refuses to check her oil and regularly goes over oil change intervals
Whenever my wife has a problem with her car her method of troubleshooting begins and ends with asking me to "fix it."

my wife, "Where does this go?"
me, "...not into the dipstick tube..."
wife, "why not isnt that where the oil goes?"
me, "...not the engine oil...."
wife, "is it bad if I got some in there?"
me , "we'll find out if/when your transmission pukes"

my wife , "my friend said, that it might be the turbo!"
me , "Did he now? the metal on metal grinding sound when you go above 3,000rpm?The dude you work with as customer service whom you think is good with cars?"
wife, "yeah"
me , "when did he diagnose that?"
w, "at work in the parking ramp"
m, "yeah ,like ,he...looked at the engine and everything?"
w, "yeah hes really good with cars and stuff"
m, "yeah he must be, I mean...how could anyone who's not good with cars know just from looking at your engine that your car doesn't now nor ever has had a turbo charger in it"
wife gives me that "you're an atrocious butt-fungus" look and asks, "Are you sure" smirking at the end and starting with , "because HE sa-"
I walk away at this point because I know I cannot be right, It will not be allowed.

Uh ohh. I wish you the best. Sometimes it's good to know simple things about vehicle maintenance no matter if you a male or female. Me as a female, I'm glad to know basic essentials like checking and changing the oil, changing a tire. She'll eventually get involved if you don't get technical lol.

Oh I just realized that I'm in this first gen (1997 - 2002) thread. I currently have an 03 XLT 5.4 4x4 but used to drive a 99 5.4 Eddie Bauer that my other half owned. He still got it but he may put it up for sale. Anyways hope everyone have a wonderful Friday! Nice to meet everyone here that doesn't know me at first! Hopefully more ladies will come up to hang out with us! [emoji41][emoji1360]

The 03 and 04 fall closer to the first gens anyway. Motor and so much is just like first gen. Yeah it would be nice with more female posters. I think more of the guys would come out of the woodwork to contribute. A lot of threads here started on a whim. I started one silly one, what did you do to your expedition today, that's at 4,000 posts now.
