I'm leaking brown fluid out the driver rear of my 99 expy. Its coming from a drop hose by the rear a/c. In my experiences this smelly fluid would be old coolant. How is this possible? It smells like fish at times. Is this possibly the a/c core draining itself? Thanks in advance for any help advice offered!

The coolant runs to the rear heater core behind the driver side panel in the cargo bay. So its possible it spring a leak.

Here is something for you to consider. The brown smelly fluid indicates water was/is being used for coolant and has rusted the engines cooling jacket. This in turn has probably blocked portions of the radiator and front heater core. But on top of that, regular tap water is electrically conductive which will allow electrolysis to occur in the cooling system. This will eat up the heater cores in a short time.
Although it can be a pain to change you may want to replace the front heater core when you repair the rear core.
