I am looking for pics of the daystar leveling kit and truxxx 3/2 with 285/70/17. 2nd or 3rd Gen would work. I am probably picking up an 06 that needs tires this Saturday. Thanks, Rob

First off...Congrats!
Second... Have the kit, just don't have the rubber yet. My pics are in my album. Come spring time(income tax return)I'll be going with a 295/70/17.
Check blackEB2008 album for his setup, he has 295's.
Here's mine in stock form

And after the Truxxx 3/2

Hope that helps.

Thanks Dib. Does your rig still handle pretty stock. One thing my wife likes about the expy is its tight handling. I was thinking of 295 but then I have to go to a rougher riding LT. I will probably get 285 to stick with p metric.

Handles just fine, very comfortable, no issues at all. When I increase the tire size, I'll also be going to a 17x9 rim so handling will actually get a touch better with the larger footprint on the ground. Even with a LT version of tire I doubt you'd notice it much, these things ride very well.

I would like to do rims but have no clue what would look good on a white/tan eb. Are your stock rims 17x7.5?

Mine are 17x8.
As far as what would look good, you have one of the most neutral color combos so anything would look good, from black, to aluminum, to chrome in just about any style. I've been looking at the XD Series, just trying to decide on the exact one.

I will have to price them out.

Cost so far:
Truxxx 3/2, installed and align $800
285/70/17 installed $900

rob if you want to cut some cost. look on ebay for some spacers. i know solisimo used the $150 ones and said he had no problems. i was quoted out here like $200-250 installed including alignment and that was at a tirepros.

Might want to think about one extra expense, that being, new caster/camber keys for alignment. You may/may not need them but just something to factor into the budget. The factory keys "could" run out of adjustment during alignment and with putting new skins on, don't want to chew them up prematurely. Mine ran me about 80 bucks, just piece of mind for me.

Tallsville: turns out my favorite shop was the highest price in town on the 3/2 plus install and the tires. When it comes time to get it done I will see if they will match the other shops.

Dib: I get what your saying about the alignment keys. I would rather pay more and have it done right.

What are you guys doing to correct MPH gauge?

My programmer has me covered on speedo correction.
FYI... I was goofing around on autoanything.com and was able to get the Truxxx kit down to $240 with discount applied and free shipping this am.

Can I pay the dealer $100 and have them change the tire size or do I need a programmer? How do you like your Nitto's? I hear mixed reviews. Any sound clips of you magnaflow? I want something with a nice tone but not raunchy like my 3" cat back on my jeep.

I could probably get the one place lower the price on the Truxxx kit. He said he would match anyone in town. Another place quated me $289 for the kit but they wanted $400 for install plus $100 align.

For $250 I will let someone else bust there knuckles. If I had a bigger garage I would probably go for it but I don't. I could do it at work but its a pain to load up all my tools and drive 20 miles.

Have no idea about a dealer helping you out with speedo correction. However, if you're willing to part with 100, why not throw a little more towards it and reap the benefits of a programmer? Just saying...
This is my third set of Nittos, have been pleased with all of them on my various vehicles. When I find something that works, I generally stay with it.
Sorry, no clip of my exhaust. I guess I should get around to that, it's only been on the truck for the last 4 years! You know it's there when you get on it, mellow at cruise, and very little interior drone.

Good point on the programmer.

Do you recall which magnaflow muffler you got? That sounds like what I am looking for =)

@ tallsville...can't really get close ups of the spacers because the strut tower mounts cover them. I'll give it a shot if you want me to, but I don't think you'll be able to see anything other than the new nuts/bolts from install.

@ robl110...I gotta go dig up my paperwork to get the actual number. If I remember correctly, I reviewed it on MagnaFlow's site so it might still be there. It would be under either dib52 or Matt D

Alrighty, this is the best I can come up with.
Before on the front

After on the front

Before on the rear

After on the rear

And here's the best shot of the front with the spacers installed, only problem is, you can't see them because the tower mount blocks them. Maybe it will give you an idea.
