Good day to all. First time poster here.
Have a 2012 Expedition with electric lift gate opener. This morning the lift gate will not open. Tried key FOB, button under liftgate handle and manual. I can hear the liftgate latch disengage (open) and it tries to lift the liftgate but then it immediately goes into close mode and latches again. When it does this, if I give just a little tug on the liftgate, I can tell it does open the latch because I can move the liftgate about a half inch open but as soon as I let go, it closes fully. It seems like the hydraulic arms are not releasing or something like that.
Any ideas or suggestions?
