Now does anyone know if all the Gen I 99+ Expeditions were wired exactly the same wether they had different options or not? I haven't pulled mine apart to see yet, but Im wondering if ill need to hard wire these in or will I be able to just plug them in as I grabbed the wire harness' as well.

not really , but from the looks of it one of the mounts which is glued to the window failed. luckly insurance covered it. i replaced it with a fixed mount window so that would not happen again lol

I love my rear vents... when I open the fronts and then the rear the air seems to flow a lot better

i use my rear vents sometimes in the summer to keep the air flow. but i also use them in the winter sometimes to help vent some of the warm air out of the truck instead of having to turn the heat down...

Im excited to put these in. My truck obviously didnt come with them. And I couldnt figure out why every single dang expedition I saw on the road had them and I didnt. I thought mabe it was an EB thing, but nope… Then It hit me, ivenever seen one with a sunroof either!! Apparently, if you got a factory sunroof, you didnt get rear vent windows?? BooYah! Now I do… Hahaha

Just gotta figure out where to mount/install the control buttons… Hmm… Sunroof also means less space up top also. Any ideas guys?

not true, i have a factory sunroof AND rear vent windows....01 EB.

Well I dont know then… I thought I had it figured out there. Did you get the rear entertainment then? Yours must be FULLY loaded. I thought mine was, but I guess not.

So, with that information: Where are your switches mounted?

mine does not have rear entertainment. mine is just like my xlt but with better sound package (when the amp/sub worked), rear vents, and moonroof/sunroof plus a few other little amenities but i would def not say fully loaded! haha. not sure bud how it all got put together. my controls are on the overhead next to the MPG. moonroof switch is in the center, with the vent switches on either side. when i get a chance, i will take a pic for you.

I actually thought that the vent windows where standard.... so the other style is fixed? Cant even manually be opened?

i think they are all options. i dont really like sun roofs. i would never use it. my dads tundra came with one and its never open. haha. my moms 4runner on the other hand. hers is always open. i just wish i had the vents. i might need to go pick me up a pair.
