Looking for a wire under the hood that is hot when the engine is running.

Is there a switched on positive wire anywhere under the hood that I can use? A wire that is hot when the engine is on and is dead when the engine is turned off? 2017 Expedition.

That wire is only "hot" when the wiping motor switch is turned on....isn't it? I want one that is always hot when the engine is running but turns off when the key is turned off.

Just make sure you use a circuit that is rated for the device you plan to use. And MOST important DO NOT INCREASE THE AMP RATING OF THE FUSE

I am going to wire the LED fog lights so they are on when the engine is running. The require almost no amperage since they are LED.
