Last night I went over to a buddy's house to do the lower ball joints. It took us 5 f'in hours just to do one side. First we couldn't get the ball joint to separate from the spindle, then the press we had was either to big or to small. We ended up having to beat the ever living crap out of it for an hour just to get it out. Broke a hammer and a socket in the process and gnarled up the arm. I gave up for the night and didn't do the other. I will get to it on my next day off. I was so frustrated with the whole ordeal. Never have I ever had that much problem with a ball joint before. My buddy, who works on Chevy's mostly said he's never had that problem either. Granted he added "with a chevy." Oh well.
