A search reveals only some kind of soldering issue behind the instrument cluster board. I have an '05 with redesigned cluster. While driving the other day,
led display changed to random patterns of lines (Greeking).
Pressing button to change mode didn't help. Parked the truck for a few days.
Started it up on the driveway this morning (20° up here) and
got the display back. Can't trust for how long. I was going to
do a hard boot by disconnecting the battery for awhile. Will
try if and when I loose the display again. I'd like to hear from
anyone who has or might be dealing with this problem.
Thanks,
Stephen

Nobody? Guess not. Hasn't happened since. Back to normal.
Another weird quirk, I guess.

Original alternator, with 74k. Gauge shows it's charging, but I'll check on that.
Thanks,
Stephen
