Depending on how bad the spark plugs were/are you may see a slight increase but I wouldn't consider it significant.

I bet it would be more beneficial to do the packs and plugs then just the plugs. We make nothing but short trips and I have a little bit of a heavy foot and still get 11+mpg... Are you towing something or have extra weight in the back to get 9 mpg?

I bought coil packs and plugs. Truck has 128k on it and I know for sure the plugs and coil packs are from 2003! It was a 1 owner truck serviced at the purchasing dealer and traded-in their. I dont tow anything yet with it. but the mpgs are horrible. the DIC is showing me 9-10mpgs. Im filling this thing up 2wice a week at 80+. Just want better gas milage. Gona buy a replacement air filter today for it.

Since ive gotten it ive changed,

Water pump
idler pulleys
Clutch and fan(clutch was siezed)
Front Hubs( rotors were rusted to them)
Brakes and rotors
Rebuilt rear end ( clutches were shot)
switch air suspension to coilovers( it was one thing after the next)
a/c clutch(ac still worked it just made a horrible noise)
and soon spark plugs and coil packs
coming up on a trans service.....

I changed plugs and 1 COP for the first time at 105K, no change in performance or mileage.
