So are tinted windows, tinted taillights, not running front plates in some states, music too loud in some states, certain aftermarket exhaust systems, speeding, tailgating, improper lane-usage, not using your turn signals, etc.

I think in the case of non-factory xenon's, if you are mindful of how and where your headlights are pointed, it is alot less worse of an offense than many of the above... None of which anyone here would do.

In my particular case, I have driven enough cars with them that I would like to try and make work in this new car. I'm not really sure why Ford wouldn't see fit to install them from the factory on a $53k car, especially in light of the fact that they have them in the Flex and Navigator...

Don't forget you can get these on the Mustang starting in 2008 from the factory. On the 2010 Mustang & Shelby, they are now projector lens HID like the Navigator. The old Aviator had these as an option as well, and the parts are sure to be similar, probably just different housing/reflector...just my guess.

I agree, they should make these a standard feature on the Limiteds to separate them from the Eddie Bauer. It would be very easy to have these designed for both the Explorers/Expeditions with minimal cost.
