i have a picture of it painted somewhere ill have to find it but it has a hilift mount and room for a jerry can also...this was built to support a 37" bfg km and shuts w/one hand . the hub doubles a spare incase it ever broke one you pull it off the swing out and replace the one up front.. it also holds the swingout open when your offcamber on a trail. heres a pic w/the axle shaft welded to the inside of it

i bent the .250 wall dom to match the poison spider rocker guards and nothced it to fit over the 2" receiver mount

for those that are into custom fab like i am heres the top view of the latch so it shuts real easy

Great looking Exp., now that it's been re-claimed by you. (and the cat) And very nice fab work on the Jeep bumper. 1/4" wall tubing seems heavy to me, did it serve a greater purpose, it doesn't seem obvious to me..?

it was put there to match the rockers but when we build stuff its always beef.. the guy didnt want anything to break or bend. he spent almost 50G when we built that jeep from front to back top to bottom. over time of beating and banging in the rocks you dont want your tubing looking like the tubing on tim hardys samurai..thats just ugly...id rather have to repaint a part rather than cut it off and reweld another back on cause it was bent to hell and back :)

Gotcha... It just looks like part of the bumper that would/should never seen any kind contact. It's got huge d-ring mounts for recovery points. I sort of guessed it was more for support for the hitch than anything else. I'm not really into rock crawling, so I'm not sure what kind of other uses it might have.

You used to wheel a Tracker? NICE. I make and sell lift kits for Trackers and Sidekicks. I sold about 300 last year and am on pace to sell 500+ this year. The fab work you did looks awesome.

Mine had my 2" suspension lift, a 3" body lift, cut fenders and 31-11.5-16 SS LTB's. I fabbed all the bumpers, roof rack, winch mount, etc. I truly loved it but in IL there is not much wheeling other than mud. That and my 3 kids and wife would not fit in it. I sold it and got an Expy. Good choice so far but I miss it. I made stickers that looked just like the "trail rated" Jeep stickers but they said Trail Proven 4x4.
