I took a quick google search and found that some folks are selling their keys for as low as 24 bucks. I do not know the quality of the cheaper ones, but I'm sure that if you spent a bit more money the key will have great quality. From there, you can sync the new key to your Expedition. I found this video on Youtube. It's on a 2007 F150 (), but I'm sure that it will work. If it doesn't I'd contact Ford, and ask them what must be done in order to sync the keys to your car. If it still doesn't work, there might be something wrong with the electronics of the key you obtained. Good luck :)

If you are in Louisville, Ky. there is a hardware store on Shelbyville Rd. called Oscar's Hardware. I made an extra key for my Lincoln MKX 2007 and very reasonable. You can get one with or without the button controls. I elected without this time due to cost. Still either way these people are very reasonable and very professional to deal with. They even walked out to my car with me to make sure the key worked while I was there. Nice shop with friendly and personal service. Hope this helps Good luck.

Try a locksmith got to them they are cheaper than the dealer. Some even come to you call first to check the rate.

In the Northeast there a locksmith company that does all the keying and programing on board their vehicles for the dealers. They use their own OEM Ford keys passing the savings onto the customer. Its cheaper for the dealer, but the dealer still charge you their rates.
