I got a guy here in Phoenix selling a Edge Evo HT 16050. I just talked to him and he said its new in box and would sell it for $150.00 I know they go for like $267.00 and up. I have a 5.4L XLT and have always wanted a tuner but I wanted the SCT ITsX but I can't afford that right now. Should I go for the Edge Evo HT? I'm looking for better gas mileage as well as some horsepower from time to time. I need to call him today. I really rant the sct ITsX but no dough. Is this a good alternative? It can read diagnostics and clear them from whar I understand. I'll use your information wisely and if I get it ill tell you how well it works. Please respond - Rewarder. BTW I got my spare tire and floor jack swing arm installed and it looks sweet. I'll post pictures later

I'd go for it. If you don't like it later on, you can always get rid of it, and probably come out ahead. I just got myself a Edge 15050 off ebay for a smoking deal, and am waiting for it to come in next week.

I got it for $150. You plug it in and it copies your original computer codes then you change what you want then unplug it. But if you want to change from economy to extreme you have to plug it back in and go thru the whole process again. It almost seems like its more for towing than bumping up the HP. I thought you'd be able to switch on the fly. It was easy as hell to go thru the motions but I think I really want the SCT ITsX or the Edge CST. Something with the gauges and has a more user friendly interface. I actually think I might sell it on EbaY tomorrow to get what I really want. I know it's a good device but not quite what I was looking for. You guys know what I mean. I want fuel economy and HP when I need to impress the chicks. I think I'll get my $150 back from it. It's brand new with the box and everything. Never gave me any trouble installing the economy mode for 87 octane

I believe it only uses the codes that Edge supplies you with. However, it does have a USB cable for free updates. I don't think you can code it yourself unless your some kind of genius that knows how to program a Flux Capacitor. It's a solid device. But I think I'm going with the Superchips Vivid Q. It uses the android based program so you can use your smartphone or what I'm going to do is buy a Samsung Galaxy Note and keep that in my truck full time. You can get the androids cheap on Craigslist. Good thing is,is that you can get another smartphone from your carrier so if just in case you lose or break your phone you have a back-up with your android tuner. It's a win win.
