Have been planning this for a lil while now. Being busy with school and what not, it has been a long time coming. I finally started the other day though.:D

Just a heads up: Being in college full time, with a ton of papers coming up soon, this will not be a fast build. Just gonna work on it when I can between class, gf, and other things until its done.

What's going in:
4 DP21"s
4 SAZ-3000d's (new heat sinks)
Maxx-Link
200+ ft. Tsunami Competition 1/0 (5+ 5- runs back)
9 Deka 9a31's (1 up front, 8 in back)
1 DC Power 270 amp alt (for now)
4th order
Other misc. things
All in an '03 Expedition XLT

Pics uploading.

I didn't know whether to put this here, or in Show and Tell. Sorry if it's supposed to be there.

Crimping my old 1/0 for redoing my big 3.

I love my new crimpers so much that I decided to hack saw a terminal in half to see how it looks (this one was actually not a very good one compared to my new ring terminals and after having some experience). Ended up hitting my thumb and slicing half way up my thumb nail lol...And sorry, the pic's crappy. But it looks like a solid chunk of copper that's fused together. Hydrolic crimpers ftw.

Test fit for the buss bars on the back battery bank. I kinda just wanted to see how they looked back there too. They will be in a box with a cover when finished.

Wire

First two runs back, 8 more to go.

I've had my old power wire ran under like that for over a year now with no problems. No drilling through the firewall and stuffing it under carpet ftw.

That's all my progress up to today. Hopefully I'll run a couple more runs back tomorrow depending on when we get back from on the boat.

You're doing the code right. It's just this forum is rather picky as to when it decides to load it as an image.

Other than that, nice progress so far. Bet that Expy is going to be bumping, yo. :)

O lol, should I maybe try editing them tomorrow, or will they just fix themselves?

And thanks, it should get down decently.

I posted a thread a lil while ago showing some of the previous setups I had in the Expedition. But here are some pics if anyone wants to see some of the earlier setups
from earliest to latest.

My last setup in my Explorer before I got my Expedition. Sorry about the shittyness, they were taken with a Razor back in the day lol.

Fuse holders will be screwed to the battery rack somewhere, haven't decided exactly where yet.

Gotta find a way to coordinate all the wire when it's all in.

A good chunk of the first roll used.

That's all I got done today.

I didn't get to get started till like 4, there was a "The Universe" marathon on lol. So I only got about an hour or so in between that and working on my gf's car.

I guess youd be the go to guy for this question, how easy is the "big 3" upgrade? I got a 1000w system and im tired of the lights dimming on me at night, im still trying to decide what should i do add a battery or just upgrade the alternator or both? And if you could post pics of the wiring from the alt to the battery i can prob figure it out. That was a sweet w7 setup you had and i cant wait to see the finished product

The w7 setups were alright. Two of my DP's on half the power was a ton louder though. Can't wait to get all four in and give them the power that they want.

And the big 3 is usually easy. I have 2/3 of it done, the battery to chassis and battery to alt. I'm still looking for the damn engine block ground lol. I'm just gonna bite the bullet and take the plastic out and have a good look at the engine. Damn these new cars with their hidden engines lol...What amp is it, and what does your stock alt put out? With only 1000wrms you should be fine with just the big 3.
