New full suspension option from ICON

What are peoples thoughts on this? Expensive!, but Icon has a great reputation.

As stated in the other thread about them it is unfortunate they are only offering the top of the line units without any plans to offer lower models.
A simple 2.5 unit is all these trucks really need for 99% of the folks that are going to use them.

Definitely expensive but I think the thing everyone has to remember here is this isn't just 2 front coilovers and rear springs/shocks... This is coilovers all around... Just playing devil's advocate.

The all electric F-150 was shown to have independent rear suspension. From the pictures I saw it looked the same as ours. Hopefully we get some more options soon. I want to be able to flip a switch and lower it 6” or raise it 6”. Is that too much to ask for?

Correct but they are also the top of the line units with external resis and adjustable dampening.
Crazy overkill for pretty much everyone that has one of these Expeditions.
A set of 2.5s without resis and adjustable dampening would be perfect.
Based upon ICONS other offerings of the 2.5s you’re under $3k.
I’d most likely be all over that. Plus I think they have done 20% off past Black Fridays. Under 2.5k I am there without a doubt.

I looked into these for my Toyota. Whats not easily discovered till you own them and rarely mentioned is that Icons need to be rebuilt far more often than typical generic shocks. Course the ride dynamics the ICONs offer are generally pretty damn nice.

Except I generally don’t like replacing fairly long lasting lower cost stuff with high cost lower life span stuff. The cool factor is there tho!

My other rule if its not paid off? It doesn’t get expensive mods. Which has shown to really help my retirement finances. If things don’t go south in some epic way I can afford to retire and have toys

$5000 dropped on my top fav stock during the last big down turn basically paid for my 2019 Premium recently. Just sayn... I like cool icon stuff but whose desert racing an Expedition? Lol Mines paid off and I still don’t feel like dropping $4000-$5000 on fancy suspension

Hey when you buy when others are selling like its end of the world. You make money. Christ my kids college fund has been up year after yr since 09 by no less than 36% and her first two yrs were 60%!!!

Do yeah I like Icon but I like making money with money more lol
