HI im from pa just traded my neon on a 2005 EB expedition. Im not much of a ford guy anymore since I never seem to have any luck with them. I bought the suv since the dealer gave me a sweet deal on the trade in and price. It has grown on me though with the 4wd and heated seats. Im mainly using this for the winter time and to tow my caliber srt to the track next season. I do have a few questions about tuning options. I see mainly the superchips and sct are offered. Anyone have any idea if the trinity will work on a 05? I had a sct and it was nothing but a headache so im trying to stay away from them. Also im looking to see which tuning device helps the most on gas. i cant seem to get this thing to get any better than 13.3mpg. Thanks for all replys in advance.

Welcome!

You can find info on tuning, tow packages, engine service etc in the sub forum for 2003 - 2006

There's plenty there to catch up on.

Ya I only had it a week so far. Im looking at the superchip flashpag they claim the most power and there is one sitting on the shelf at A&A auto parts for $300. I still have to take a look at the air filter to see if it needs to be changed. I pumped the tire pressure up alittle hoping it might help. I also need to pull the plugs and take a look. Any suggestions on which ones to run?

With these 05+ its a little more involved than just pulling the plugs! Search 5.4 3v spark plug change!

As far as plugs it would be cheaper and easier to stick with oem!

Today i went and got a k&n drop in and priced plugs. They had some on the shelf which were the autolite HT. Pretty expensive and different looking. Had this metal caseing around the plug. I planned on staying oem since everything i read about and was told that these plugs like to break off in while unthreading.

I recently reset the pcm and my gas mileage went up to 16.6mpg. I new something was up when i couldnt get it to move through town or the highway. I have to change the plugs yet and hopefully get a superchip soon.
