Hello from South Texas,
I am looking into painting the wiper arms on my 2004 and I want to know how to remove the wiper arm cover, that cover that goes over the nut to remove the wiper arm. Please help.

From my Ford Service Manual:

Removal and Installation

1. Raise windshield wiper blade (17528) end off windshield and slide latch away from windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.

2. Unlock windshield wiper pivot arm from windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.

3. Remove windshield wiper pivot arm. Windshield wiper pivot arms can be removed and installed without the aid of any tools.

For installation, follow removal procedures in reverse order. If windshield wiper blade does not touch windshield, then slide latch is not completely in place.

The latch they are referring to is on the wiper arm itself. Once you lift the pivot arm you will see what they are talking about.

Hope that helps!

Oh, I found those either on here or online somewhere and since someone else posted them, I separated them form 'my' words to give him credit. Sorry for the confusion.
