Well, I bought a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH radio and a backup camera to put in my Ex. I also bought a steering wheel interface as well. All I have now is the radio. The SWI, camera, mounting ring and wire harness have been bought and are supposed to be shipped. I hope to have everything in next weekend. I won't have the stuff in time for this weekend:bawl:

I just found out I won't be able to get the camera I wanted. They said it is on "back order" after the guy told me they had them in stock.

Install pics

Well, the radio is in and works great. Here are a few pics. I have to admit that taking the dash apart wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be.

The stock setup.

The dash apart and the radio out. Not to dirty back there.

What I found on the bottom of the stock radio and what it says.

Last, all put back together

DAMN that's nice!

Does your BT work automatically if you are listening to the radio and a call comes in?

I was under the impression that the HU I bought would, then I was told by the installer that none of them do and that they would need some relay etc.

I might just swap mine out already.

ok i found a good video on removing the dash but i have another question.

do the rear stereo control still work with the new head unit? i just have the xlt so it just a vol, seek, and source I believe. do you need any additional parts for them to work?

install was easy. Two bolts in the dash above the cluster and just pop the dash out. If you have steering wheel controls, then you have to pick which ones you want to work. Steering wheel or rear controls. You can have one but not both. The Pac Audio swi-rc is what I used. It will do either.
