My daughter and mother in law were coming home from shopping, and were in stop and go construction traffic when a Ford Focus traveling a bit too fast and not paying attention slammed into the back of the Expedition pushing them into the hitch and back end of a late model Ram3500.
They drove away after all the reports. No damage to radiator, condenser etc. but shop quoted $10,950 to repair. Insurance only wants to pay $16k but will let us keep for $13K. Stinker is we owe $12.5K. But insurance is paying off and giving us the remainder.

Good news is I pulled out plastic pieces in the heat of the day and added some white duct tape so we can continue driving and now it looks like this.

Question for those that have used 09-14 F150 after market bumpers, what modifications are required to fit a which type bumper to the frame horns that replaces just the lower plastic bumper.
A bumper such as this:

That sucks man. Least the duct tape will hold it until then. Hope everyone is okay. We'll welcome to the forum.

Yup, everyone was ok. And the Expedition will be paid off. Going to get a F150 winch bumper this evening to replace the wimpy bash bar and plastic bumper.

Garry, you look like a handy guy. From the pictures, the damage seems limited to bolt-on parts. These are cheap; the aftermarket and junk yards are full of them. I'll bet you can have that thing looking like new for a day's work and maybe three grand.

Still need to paint both bumpers and the replacement hood(not shown). And I still need to replace the headlights as both mounting brackets are broken. But looking a lot better already!! It helps that the JY parts were a close match. (08 vice 12 pearl white)

Front bumper looks great. Dealing with insurance company's is a hassle, never take there first offer. Try to find a truck like yours for sale with similar mileage, prefererbly at a dealer and see how it compares.
