of course, my wife is going to be driving it mostly, but I will be fixing it if something isn't covered by the warranty.
I was thinking about gettting a Ford extended service plan warranty, but I suppose new member introductions isn't the best place to pose that question.

Anything I should really inspect before the dealer warranty expires?

Yeah you can't go wrong with inspected it to make you everything is good to go. Ford extended service plan isn't bad but there after plenty of warranty companies out there.
Welcome aboard.

Extended Maint. Policy

Do you self a favor and if you get a service policy the manufactures policy is the best and will cover what it says it will. Buy an aftermarket policy EVEN FROM THE DEALER and you will be sorry. Your peace of mind and wife are worth it. Speaking from experience. I also have a 2005 EB w/70,000mi. Needed a fuel pump, brakes and tires. The fuel pump was an ordeal. The story is in the fourm. Good luck.
