nice...have you though about blacking out your tails/3rd light?

Hell no, to me thats a big safety thing. I dont care what anyone says, you cant see them in bright daylight. Ive seen it first person when the insurance company goes after the actual guy that got rear ended bc he had tinted tail lights.

I agree with Sol. Smoke lights are one thing. I have those but they are easy to see. Blacked out is a whole different thing.

Sounds like you need to upgrade to 40's. :)

Solisimo! Get your truck out of there! It doesn't belong there, it belongs on the pavement!

Smoked 3rd brake light isn't bad. I agree about the taillights .
Here is mine with the spray on tint and a couple of coats of clear.

SOL, that looks great man, i agree with not blacking out the tails, maybe leds or something but not blacked out too much of a safety risk

ok...have you thought about tinting your tails/3rd light? lol...

lol... I think the best way would to get new LED Tailights and tint those or black those out....they work just as good as if they werent on. Just an opinion. The tintted LEDs would look BA

Roof Rack

I'm trying to find a way to lower my roof rack. I have a 2000 Expy XLT with stock roof racks.

Currently the rack is "resting" on and mounted to the front and rear "main beams" (I have no idea what to call them).

I've seen others mounted on hardware that connects to the rain gutter of the vehicle. (See file att'd) I don't have a rain gutter.

In pics of your (very awesome) Expedition, it looks like you're doing a combo: using the front/rear 'rack beams' and some sort of hardware support. Do you mind sharing what you've done?

I'm guessing you've got something in the rails that run the length of the vehicle. If so, would those be:
Sufficient to use without the front/rear 'beams,' and
Would it help lower my rack any (I'm pushing the limits of the garage door, and i want taller tires !)

thanks so much !
