Well missed this part by accident. New to this forum from VA. Already posted in the first gen section... Anyways new to expeditions not new to fords... Ever since I've had my license I've owned all fords but one car, 93 escort wagon(first car), mits mirage(only had for 3 months), bronco II (4.0 4x4 cracked the block during a wonderful wisconsin winter), 93 explorer(4.0 4x4 frame was toast from corrosion), 97 ranger(2.3 2x4 died with just over 300k miles, got deployed and it got auctioned off), 99 explorer(5.0 awd, loved that one, definitely took a beating), 01 cobra(bought just after 99 explorer sold due to being tight on money), 00 F150(5.4 4x4 got rearended on highway totaling it but pulled many parts for spares for current vehicle) and finally current 97 expedition XLT 5.4 4x4. Sorry for the long winded intro but figured put it all out there lol.

Cool.

A couple years ago I was working with NASA who was working with the Navy to coordinate the recovery of the Orion capsule in the Pacific Ocean aboard a well deck ship. We got to do a lot of cool stuff aboard some Navy ships in and around Norfolk. Toured the USS MESA VERDE and was put on an LCAC and taken out to the USS FORT MCHENRY that was anchored out in open water to watch how the flooded well performed in open water- that was cool. Then we conducted recovery tests aboard the USS ALINGTON pier side in Norfolk. I moved on with my career prior to doing the underway recovery tests and the actual recovery off the coast of San Diego.

New to forum and Ford.

I'm also in Va. In the Hampton roads area. I own a 98 Expedition. This is my first Ford and it is my favorite truck by far!
