New to me 2004 Expedition.

Spend $15,000 and rebuilt it with a 3.9 4bt

  • Spend the money it’s worth it

  • Buy a third generation and do the 4BT

Oh boy where do I begin.

Day three of owning my 2004 Expedition XLT. It has a kill system under the hood that identifies this as some kind of a fleet vehicle. I’m guessing government.

I can’t pull up anything for history through Oasis. Can’t get specs. It’s weird.

Vinyl interior with rubber floors and no front center console. No speed governing?

Blend door isn’t functioning. One key no remotes no door code kinda junk to mess with.

Rotted out omg under the door sills and full rockers.

207,000kms on it so 120,000 miles. Someone just did $6,000 Canadian so that’s $43 USA on the suspension and brakes. Barely clears my standard garage door there goes my lift plans.

I’m not sure if I need a priest or a murder scene clean up crew to bless/clean this mess. Grimy dirty thing.

Thank god for wrecking yards and cool dudes.

Glad to be aboard
