jrjr, this is the trick with TSBs, the dealership will fix problems with your vehicle using just a TSB if:
1) you are still under the factory warrantee (ie, less than 36K miles)
2) you complain about it.
You don't do both of these, the dealership will tell you to have a nice day and that they will fix it for a fee.
The big thing is to know what issues there are out there and what the dealership will fix. I had a pretty good relationship with that dealership since I wasn't taking my truck in for just any old thing. What I took the truck in for were fairly significant issues. The most minor issue I took my truck in for was I noticed that my friends truck would automatically lock the doors when the truck was put in drive. Mine did not. Our trucks were essentially identical. I asked the service guy about it and he said that all the trucks did that. I then explained that mine did not. After an hour or so of his time, he asked me to do a key/door lock sequence. Tada, I then had auto lock doors.
Granted, it didn't hurt that the sales guys hated seeing me because I would normally pick the trucks apart on the lot showing them various flaws that should have been caught on the assembly line. So, the dealership wasn't quite sure who I was, but they did know that I was someone that knew a lot about the trucks.
