Hello all hoping you guys can help out.
I have a 2003 EB 4.6 Windsor I believe (has the W in the Vin)
Cant figure this out, and my mechanic is scratching his head also, I had the PNDRL error with the buzzing in the fuse box, So I changed out the PMC(203) relay and it started right up, after driving for a few days it died out on me again. Did some further reading and found this issue of the relay failing is caused by where the relay is burns out. So I checked the location and sure enough, it showed signs of melting. I ordered and swapped the fuse box, It still is not turning over, here's what i checked so far, if anyone has any idea of what i should look for, or if this same thing has happened to you and you resolved it, please let me know.
1.Changed fuse box & rechecked all fuses and relays (All in working order)
2.Checked starter (working and power is getting to it)
3.Fuel pump is turning on
4.PCM is sending communication (checked by mechanic)
5.Changed crank sensor
6.New battery installed
7.Checked for spark (No spark coming from injectors)
8.Tried starting in Neutral (same results)
9.When the relay burnt out for the second time, I changed it once again and the truck didn't turn over.
10.Checking and doing research, but all roads are leading back to the fuse box, but like I stated , I swapped it out and it seems to be communicating with the computer scanner.
really not sure at this point.
