Bought a 99 EB about a month ago and knew the sub was blown. But weather has sucked pretty bad and I didn't feel like standing outside to deal with it. We finally got some really nice temps today so I pulled the thing apart. OH MY!

I'll let the pic speak for itself:

Thankfully, the replacement I'm ordering is on sale right now:

JBL GTO804 8" Subwoofer -- Amazon

Took some work with the heat gun to flatten out the hump/mount in the back, but it should certainly be worth it. I'll report back when it's in on Thursday.

Yup - it's why you really should replace the factory speakers with a good set of after market speakers. Do some sound treatments while you are at it too.

Yeah. They'll be coming on the list sooner or later....along with a double din touch screen so I can listen to MP3s and ditch the changer. :D But at least this lets us listen to the Mach system closer to the way it should.

The next purchase will likely be headlights, then swapping out the air suspension, and then..... :D

My sub looked just like yours when I got my '98.
I just replaced it with an 8" Kicker for about $50 and life is good.

Mine just blew today.
How did the subwoofer work for you? Any issues?

Anyone else know of a plug and play sub to replace my blown one with?
