I have a question I hope someone can help: Ever since I bought my 2000 Exp
I always had Tire Kingdom do my work but after 2 bad experiences I figured I
would do my own work. Now my question my Exp. has a 5.4ltr engine with the tow package I tried changeing my oil / filter but I can't use the filter for the 5.4 it's too wide in diameter ( by the way this was a fram filter ) so I went to napa he gave me a filter for a 4.6 the threaded hole is too small soo I ended
up washing out and used the old filter till I can get to ford and find out the problem I like using Fram/Motorcraft. Does anyone have an answer to this problem? Thanks in advance and have a great wk/nd!!!

i had the same problem they gave me the wrong one. i think there is two types of fliters listed. one is long and skinny and the other was short and fat. mine took the long one. but my truck is a 99 i can look and see what fliter number mine is. i use fram.

Yea, Walmart has them usually for cheaper, as well. They have the book/computer so you can look them both up and take the out of the box to compare.

If they don't have Motorcraft, try Purolator. It's made by the same people.
