Got the shipping notification today - "should" have the bumper installed by next weekend. Will be a few days more than three months since the order.

I'm excited for ya! I've been watching this thread and I might get one too. I don't mind the wait especially if it turns out awesome.

Got it home! Unfortunately, requires welding. :(

I post on expo portal to see if you got it glad to see you did. What kinda welding required? For installing it?

Have to weld brackets to bumper after mounted.

I do not. :( Tomorrow I'm going to call a local guy - he was recommended by another off-road centric forum. I can tear it all down (I hope) - then just drive the parts over and get 'er done.

I talked to them about the mounting system when I put mine on, and they told me that they were doing a redesign on it. Looks like that is the new system.

I had to cut off all the existing brackets and bolt it up using existing holes. This looks a bit more robust. I guess the only downside is that you need to remove the whole thing when you're done to paint the welded areas.

I'm going to drop it anyway to load the lights and winch; don't want to make it harder to line up than it has to be.

Did some prep work - and changed the white bulbs - for the bumper-mount floods - to amber

Fitment issues - the installer says Tactical built it as if I had a 2" body lift, perhaps. He's doing a work-around until I can get photos to tactical and see how they will fix the situation.

Okay - the guy is using solid 2" bushings as spacers for the brackets and what-not, to get the bumper lower than the headlights. When I get the truck back tonight or tomorrow I'll snap pics of the fitment issues; of course to email to TAG, too!

I should have a teaser-pic within the next hour or so.
