Oh yeah. You can use it when it's cold out. Just don't use it when the PlastiDip is cold. It comes out in chunks. But don't worry, it will dry smooth if you had a mishap.

Lane that is Plasti Dip on the Jeeps rims? If so that looks ****ing nice man. *Answered my own question by reading but my reaction is still the same.

Well I finally got my brother's camera and got some pics taken. The rims turned out very nice.

They look great, now do the same to the chrome side moldings and it will flow great. I am thinking of doing it to ALL my chrome.

i didnt realize it was a spray...i might check into the kit that you can make your own color and use on mirror caps instead of paint...can you put clear on top of it?

They also just put out a glossifier. I think the site was dipyourcar.com, it has a lot of info.

As for the Chrome, My wheels were the stock chrome and I havent had to respray yet, washed, scrubbed, wind rain, snow no issues.

Looks good! Yeah I have only had mine sprayed for a week, but we finally had some decent snow, and none of it has come off. I am very happy with the result.

OK I thought I would just give an update on this project. The plastidip has held up very well the last 6 months or so. I had to completely respray two rims due to user error more than anything, but otherwise I have been very happy with it. I also used it on the door moldings and mirror caps. Clear coated the rims, which didn't do a whole lot. Gave them a little shine which is nice. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to give their truck a cheap aggressive look.

Last update I will do to this thread since I don't think extra ones will be necessary. Plasti Dip has been solid on the chrome rims so far, and it will be a year next month (according to the earlier postings in this thread). Even if you are just looking for something to protect the rims from road salt this is nice stuff to do the job. I have quite a bit of extra so I will attempt the bumpers when it gets warm out.
