I have a 2001 Expedition with a 5.4 and 3.55 gears, my problem is when going down the interstate running 70 mph on cruise control , when coming up a long incline my truck almost always jumps into passing gear. It seems like the throttle doesn't start going down quick enough. My question is there any kind of adjustments or computer programs that I can do?
Thank you!

In my old 99 with a 4.6, I got into the habit of manually kicking it out of OD at a hill. Then it would climb the hill fine in 3rd gear.
The programming on the '99's is a little funky and the computer won't hold 3rd long enough. A programmer will surely help that for your Expy. Or, you can go extreme like I did and swap a manual tranny into it. :)
