Power window switch... same for 97 to 02 or not?

I have a 97 expedition and the drivers side window switch went to hell. Are the 97's the same as the others?(97 to 02)

Some things I read, they are, and some say they are not... which is it?

Pretty sure they are. I want to say I tested one from a 01 on my door at a junkyard to help narrow down a window issue and all functions (except for the window I was trying to fix) worked fine on the switch. Make sure the new switch doesn't have any more or less buttons than yours and everything should work fine.

Junkyard was selling that window switch for about 20 bucks. That is the first place I would look for yours.
