2012 Limited code named 8910 (daughters bday). Pearl white.

Suspension: Mcgaughys 2"/2.5"

Removing the roof rack for a street look. Street scene hitch cover or 3d carbon one. Still dont know.

Wheels: Now this is where I need your help. Going for the retro look. Here are my two options. These are the only pictures that I have found that are relevant so no one has really gone this route which keeps me motivated. The torq thrusts con is that they only come in chrome and that silver which kills me. They El Rey is a Shelby style wheel.

American Racing Torq Thrust 24"

Updated.

The rim options have changed. I cancelled my order on the 24's and forgot about these that I listed. I think I have located a rare set of Saleen S331 rims which came in 23". I will keep you guys updated on this. If I get my hands on them they will be PCd in black

hmm, the stock rotors may look tiny behind those 24's... Do they make a big brake kit for our trucks?

I vote el Rey. The torque thrusts IMO are played out. Everything out here has them on.

I have the stock rotors behind 24's. I don't think they look that bad. I'll try to grab a pic at lunch.

I don't think I could run a bigger rotor because of the curve of the spokes.

Guess I will be the contrarian, here, but I personally don't dig the black wheels on the white vehicle. Personally, I would stick with chrome or silver painted. That said, I like the El Ray in silver better than the Torque Thrust.

Of course, it's not my vehicle, either, so my input is just my opinion!

Project started 2/2/12

On Saturday it started. I did I full detail which took me all day bc Im pretty **** and take detailing seriously. When I was done I decided to remove the chrome roof rack for a more street king/queen look. Pretty easy process and about 10 minutes.

Today I decided to start conquering the rear. I went to work on the chrome cladding piece on the hatch and went with plasti dip. Pretty easy process. It think it looks odd right now but when the whole truck is done it will piece itself together. I still need to de badge the right side of the hatch (flex fuel sign). The Ford emblem on top of the dipped piece will be the same just in black. Im confused on the chrome expedition piece to the left on if I should plasti dip it too. Tomorrow I will order the suspension and the rotors. Next week I think Im going to conquer the front chrome grille with the same process. Although I will add two coats of clear to avoid chipping and giving it a more shiny finish but still looking flat.
