solisimo...I thought about plasti dipping the rear chrome over license plate....but I was thinking of doing it in red with the glossifier to match the body. It's either that or wrapping it. Looks good what you've done.

Rocky I think your playing w fire trying to match those reds. Personally I would go w black. Especially since the FMF has alot of black to it.

Looks good so far. I like the roof rack delete!

Regarding the plastidip, I would definitely either dip or remove the rear Expedition logo. I would also dip the door handles (at least the chrome part), and maybe the mirrors (to loose the white caps).

Oh, and just so you know, those OEM wheels are like gold. You can't find used rims like that, so you have the opportunity to get over $1000 for all four if you are willing to sell individually. The new ones go about $500 each.

Solisimo...yeh that was y i'd figure I'd go with wrapping. I'm already planning a wrap on the hood and I'm sure I could some left over to do the chrome pieces. They can color match vinyl. But to hold me over till I get it done I may just do the black.

If you are blacking all the chrome on the vehicle (including door handles), then black. If you are leaving the door handles chrome, stay chrome on the wheels.

The grille and rear chrome will be black. Im guessing now leaving the handles chrome will match with the rims. Seeing that they came from chrome from factory I might leave them. Plus the wife loves them

Ok loaded the rims into the wifes car so she can take them to work to have the guys remove the old tires and toss them. Luckily the previous owner had them plasti-dipped which in turn preserved the chrome. I see small imperfections more like spots but gonna clean them this week with some chrome cleaner.

Busa i know man its taken me forever to locate these. Just got lucky.

Just saw this thread and noticed your plasti-dip job. I actually did the same thing on the rear chrome emblem (my first plasti-dip attempt) and then the front chrome grill. I don't know what I will do about the emblems though. I think if I dip them black, you won't be able to see/read them. But I think I will dip the chrome handles though.

I will have to wait until this weekend to get you a pic of the front grille. I thought it turned out pretty well and better than I had expected. The dip is very versatile stuff.

Regarding the emblems, my concern is that if you dip them, there will be no contrast and they will look just a bunch of "black boxes" on the truck that you will not be able to read at even a short distance away from the truck. I am not talking about the main emblem on the front grill, but all of the other ones.

I will still probably do the chrome door handles though. I have an EB and I am even considering dipping the the lower trim that is currently gold on the truck (but I have a few other mods coming before I make that decision).
