I was an explorer owner for for over a decade until one day my one owner was dead. In a hurry to buy something to get to work i bought an expedition from a friend whose son wrecked it twice and had been sitting for over a year. it started up and ran but looked terrible. This is what happens when your son has a few adult beverages and drives through a forest. Luckily for me i found a donor 10 minutes down the road with the same paint setup as mine. $500 for my expy and another $500 in body parts and she's close to being whole again.

So, where's the nightmare part?

Looks like you got a pretty decent deal between the two trucks, and from the pics it really doesn't look that bad to me. Yes, definitely some elbow grease and time now, but not much else. you should be able to swap out those panels in a day, so not bad at all :)

worst part was pounding out the pillar between the front and rear drivers side doors so they would line up when closed. it will never be perfect, but a total of 1300 bucks into it and im happy.

Ahh, the pics didn't show damage to the pillar, just looked like surface fixes.

Be sure to keep us posted with pics of your progress. :)
