I just bought a 2016 Expedition EL, and am a bit frustrated....

I have the motorized back wing windows. On the driver's side, the "puck" unglues from the glass. The ford dealer had a glass company glue it back on a few days ago, and it has already unglued.

Anyone familiar with this issue? Solution Ideas?

The only time I've seen an inability to replace the adhesive on glass was due to a silicon substance coating on the glass. Evidently, they had used some type of cleaner that got all the oil off but didn't remove the silicon from something like Armor-all that had been used on the glass.

The glue that is used specifically for rear view mirrors should work fine but put a clamp on it till it dries.

Wipe with kerosene then 90% isopropyl alcohol before gluing, this should take out just about anything like grease or armorall or whatnot on there on surface... if there's glue remnants start with gettng that off, use Goof off or similar first probably but be careful don't dissolve your truck

glue at room temperature or higher if at all possible (heated garage or at least full sun on a warm day in this season), clamp when gluing

I glued it myself this weekend. I'm pretty sure the glass company that the dealer hired did not clean the glass at all. It had evidence of several glue attemps. I used a razorblade to get most off, then acetone to clean. I glued the puck on using Gorilla Glue Epoxy. Fingers crossed!
