04 EB 5.4, 154K: so I feel pulsing in my brake pedal when braking...this has occurred after 18 months of sitting in one spot...so it is my understanding that the ABS sensor or ABS itself could be it or warped rotors...is there anything else that could be going on? hubs are ok...first thought was rotors but did further research and ABS sensor pops up...let me know what yall think

Pull the fuse for the abs, if it still pulses then it is a problem with the rotor / brake pad combo.

More than likely if it sat for 18 months you have a brake pad "snapshot" on the rotors. A few heavy stops might grind that off.

Or you need to get the rotors machined or replaced.

This makes the most sense to me. You might be able to see the outline of the pad material still on the rotor.

so I pulled the fuse and it went away but the brakes hardens and the pulsing is intermitted and the steering shakes if braking hard...what do yall think about changing the front ABS sensors and go from there?

If you have a dial indicator you can check the runout of each disc. Since it still pulsates there is an issue with it.
Should you change the rotors you also need to clean the area where the rotor makes contact with the hub. Some people don't clean this area and introduce runout once they install the rotor.
