hello all,

just thought i would post this up as just had it done the other day, i decided to get a grill guard fitted to my expy but after searching the internet and finding horrendous shipping prices i had a look in the local market and no one has full grill/brush guards for expys as everyone over here who mods their cars, drives either a toyota land cruiser or nissan patrol, so i ended up going for police style push bars.

i got them for a few main reasons, 1 i have had 2 accidents over here and both have been head on and neither may fault (some one reversed into me and some one drove onto the wrong side of the road into me a traffic lights) so i wanted a little protection,
2 with all the civil unrest and protester constantly setting fire to wheelie bins then conveniently putting them in the middle of the road i wanted something that i could push them out of the way with :p
and finally i put them on just cos they look sick and people now seem to move out the way more lol

oh and they also block my license plate from speed cameras lol and new grill badge and RH head light on the way as well

anyways let me know what you guys think

It looks good.
Though Im sure it isnt it kinda looks backwards to me, I would have thought the flat side would have gone against the car. Thats how the police ones here at work are.

either way, I still like it

yeah i know what you mean, i originally wanted the go rhino ones which sort of bent aroudn the shape of the grill so they are flat on the back and rounded on the front, but cant get them here, this is how the cops have them over here so its the best i could do, they did have ones which were flat on the back and curved on the front but they would have had to weld them on place and these are just bolted on were the tow hooks usally are so if they need to come off its only a matter or unscrewing a few bolts

I could really use some of those!!

It would probably be frowned upon if I start pushing the slow vehicles in front of me?! But many times the urge is there!!

definitely doesn't look bad, i have the go rhino ones on my expy, and i'm pretty sure i can push some cars out of my way at slow speeds without damaging my expy.

looks pretty badass.

i wanted to get rhino bars on my expy too but read that bullbars/pushbars can do more harm than good in a serious collision as they connect straight to the frame and thus defeat the purpose of your bumper. They're great for fender benders that's for sure.

I have a Go Rhino on mine and Whelen strobes in the turn signals, plus a pair of red Whelen M7 LED's mounted to the grille.

I also have a Whelen 200 watt siren with 2 speakers (one behind the grille and the other mounted to the pushbar).

I'm trying to get the wife to agree to more front end lighting. She is also authorized to use the warning devices when she responds to ambulance calls.

im still thinking of getting the go rhino ones in the future, as they do look badass and i like how they sort of follow the curve of the grille

too bad you can't put a set of whelen strobes on there too.

thanks for sharing.

PanHandler.

i am actually trying to find a decent pair to hide behind the grille, but im waiting to see if i get the car wrapped in black as the government security guys here have black blacked out expys with the push bars so if im late for somehting i could go with lights on lol not legal but everything in life thats fun is either ilegal imoral or fattening lol

That bar is sold first as just the center crash/push bar and then the fender wraps can be added later if needed. It's a police package that is available for the trucks and you can also have strobe light integrated onto the main bar. I just put up that setup for anyone looking for sonething like that if they wanted it for off roading or a street fighter look.

Im not a fan of the light wraps either, never have been.

I do however like the look of the push bar on these trucks.

Where are you all purchasing them from?

mine were bought locally but i was looking at ordering some from the states from carid.com as they ship internationally plus a decent range and i think the pricing is fairly ok. they also got loads of other bits and pieces.

Hi guys, here's one to bounce off of you all. Can a warn push bar with winch mount for a 2007 ford F-250 be fitted to a first gen Expy?
