Just pulled into restaurant, loud bang and major lack of power... Open hood on my 03 4.6 liter and seen a spark plug lying on my intake. Quick inspection of the plug reveals a lot of build up and the threads look intact. It did break my coil pack off at the ear. My question is .... As long as the coil pack works I should be able to replace the plug and provided the threads on the head are not bad I should be able to get her home, am I correct in saying that?

As long as the plug threads back in, and the coil is good, you should be ok to reinstall and drive it. Just be sure the threads in the head are still good, or you will need a time-sert to repair it.

Update!
Ok tow truck towed me home, that was free...
I put a new plug in it, threaded right in no issues. New plug cost was 3 bucks...
Truck starts right up and drives around the block no issues.... Will be replacing the coil pack at a later date... Till then....
So in all I spent 3 bucks and I actually saved money cause the tow was free... If I drove my expedition home I would have used a gallon of gas...not exactly what I Hardin mind when I say I want to save gas!

Interesting way to save fuel!
Have AAA, may as well use it.
I would watch that plug closely because once it begins to loosen it will ride on the edge of the threads and can damage them upon being ejected. Specially the last thread or two and there is only 3-4 to begin with in early 2v expys. There can still be some meat deeper into the threads but they will be weakened.
Also check torque on remaining plugs..

Thanks for the tip, I already checked other plugs and all is well... I will give this one a few days and recheck it as well.
