My new radiator should be here Thursday and I plan to change it out this weekend. My Expy is a '98 5.4 4x4. It looks pretty straight forward. Is there anything special I need to look out for?

I have line wrenches so that's not a problem. I haven't looked yet but is the fan bolted on w/4 bolts as in older vehicles?

Actually Snap on has a sale going on this month where I just bought the 2 full sets SAE and Metric for $350 for both. I plan on doing my complete brake system over so it will be worth it

The lower radiator hose on mine was the quick connect pos. Wasn't the quick disconnect though, could not get it to come off. Once the new rad and new lower hose was on, it leaked at the joint. Changed to the tried and true hose clamp and haven't had any problem.

You'll need two wrenches for the trans lines. One to keep from twisting the cooler (large nut) and line wrenches as others have chimed in.
