I have a 2002 ford Exxpedition EB. All of a sudden the Radio and the 6 disc CD changer didn't work, its like the radio is not getting any power? I checked all the fuses and found nothing wrong. All other electrical equipment works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!:shootout:

I had this problem with my 1997 EB and the radio had to be replaced. My biggest problem was that I could'nt find a wire harness to hook up my 6 disc changer to my new radio. Ford wanted over 500 bucks for a new radio so I bought a after market instead. I looked all over for a used one and had no luck. I hope this helped you.

Thanks for the info! I took my Expe. to a stereo specialist and he ran some diagnostics to it and said the stereo and CD changer was fine. But the power harness had a electrical short in it and needed to be taken to a auto electrician. 4 hours in the shop and $530.00 bucks later the electrician found the source of the electrical short. It was the factory amp causing the problem and had to be replaced with a new one. Thanks again for the info!

I thought about it replacing it with a after market amp. But I was already out $360.00 for the diagnostics from the electrician "factory amp not included for $144.00." I was also told by the stereo specialist that if I replaced the factory amp, It might cost more due to the special wiring they had to do and that doesnt include the stereo.

I hope my experience would save some $$$$ to the other expedition owners.
