My 2003 Expeditions radio shuts off from time to time, and when it does the power windows won't work. It happens when moving or still. I've replaced all relays. I still hear relays clicking when this happens. Thoughts?

Not meaning to sound like a smart ass but you do have an electrical problem. In order to locate it you can do one or both of two things. The first and usually lowest cost method is to diagnose the problem. You will need a dvm or at least a test light in order to accomplish this. I prefer the dvm since the good models will have a tone continuity function that allow you to get up under the dash and not view the meter. The other method is to start throwing parts at it until you get lucky.

Looking at the electrical prints both the power windows and radio have one item in common. The power goes thru the accessory delay relay. when the relay is energized it closes its contact and provides power to the radio and power windows thru fuse #22.

What you may want to try is to swap the Accessory Delay relay with the Trailer Tow Relay to see if that cures the problem. Your owners manual will show you the location in the fuse box for these relays. Try that and keep the forum posted

The same thing is happening to me. I here the clicking sound as well. I just bought a new fuse box to see if it solves the problem. Anyone have any guidance on how to put it in or a video?

Alphi4life, if I'm remembering correctly it unbolts & unplugs. Remember to disconnect the battery before doing the swap.

Also, please update your profile with at least the state you reside in. I use that as an indication of whether your in a winter salt state diagnosing electrical problems.
