Got my new Expedition Tuesday, didn’t notice until I washed it today, the hood was covered in rail dust. In the bright sun on my Star White you couldn’t see it but when the clouds covered the sun…oh my was it bad. Just pulling a microfiber rag across the hood it was just snagging bad. I started to panic but went to the auto store and got Meguiar’s iron removing spray clay and it did the job but took several coats. I’m sure there are probably cheaper options but wanted to put this out there in case someone else runs into this. See all the purple from it dissolving the iron in the pic. I’ve read about this on the F150 forums but never seen it.
