My truck may be needing a replacement alternator soon.

I have a 2003 EB 2WD 5.4 Expo.

Which of you, my fellow Expo owners are running a Hi-Output alternator?

What brand?
What warranty?
How much?

Unless you have a high current draw on your electrical system a HO alternator is a waste of money.

as stamp said...if u dont have the load for it...ur wasting ur money...i currently have a 300a alt and bought a Singer 320a alt...i'm pushing 2500 watts to a sub and have other electrical mods as well...in the works on having an audio system pushing 8K watts for audio only...then add in the other electronics as well...so i NEED it

what do u do with your truck that would require a load...its electrical so what audio system...power surge requirement...camping gear...makes no sense to put a 300a alt on the truck and u do nothing but ride around the city/town and take long trips to grandma's or uncle's house 500 miles away is what we're getting at...

so what do u do in ur off/spare/recreational time/life that would make sense to do this? if I didn't have 8,000 watts worth of audio being installed I wouldn't...
