Rear DVD - Family Entertainment System

The rear FES on my 2010 EB won't load dvds. Meaning it doesn't pull the dvd into the drive on its own. My own service Dept quoted me $1000 to fix it, but that's effing ridiculous. Anyone familiar enough with the internals on this thing to help me fix it? Looks like I can buy the whole unit online all day for under $300 but I'd prefer to just fix it if possible.
